Our Story

Cool Critters started in my own backyard.

I noticed that when my dogs were outside, they would stop drinking from their water once it got warm, even when their bowl was sitting in the shade.

I figured there had to be a simple way to keep their outdoor water cooler.

So I did what most people would do. I went looking for one.

I checked a few stores expecting to find something simple, easy to use, and easy to clean. But I couldn’t find what I had pictured in my head.

So I decided to create it.

That idea eventually became ColdCove™, a simple hydration system designed to help keep pets’ water cooler for longer without plugs, batteries, complicated filters, or a bunch of pieces to clean.

What started as a solution for my own dogs has grown into Cool Critters, a father-and-sons company focused on creating thoughtful, practical pet products that make everyday life a little better for pets and their people.

We’re starting with ColdCove, but we have much more planned. New sizes, colors, accessories, and new ideas are already in the works.

And as Cool Critters grows, giving back will be part of our story too. We want to support shelters, rescues, working K9s, military animals, and the people who dedicate their lives to caring for them.
